James W. Knight
Managing Partner, Co-Founder
James Knight is the Managing Partner of Next Gen Youth Political Strategies and is a rising star in the Canadian political scene. While just a senior in high school, James has cultivated a wealth of knowledge and experience in political campaign communications, management, strategy, and policy with experience running campaigns at all levels of the Canadian political system.
With a specialization in campaign communications, James works with several of Next Gen’s client candidates, to refine their social media strategies to be accessible to Canadians of all ages. In doing so, he has helped candidates grow their reach, specifically with younger demographic leading to increased youth participation in campaigns James is involved with.
James’s passion for civic engagement extends to his local community, where he works to found West Vancouver's youth council, hoping to provide greater opportunities for young people to take an active and formalized role in the policy-making process.
Academically, James pursues a rigorous high school curriculum, taking advanced courses in economics, geography, history, research, and statistics, in addition to various business courses. He also serves as President of his school’s Model UN team, Director at North America’s largest youth-run Model UN conference, and as an elected House Captain.
In January of 2025, we has awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal. The medal is given to Canadians who “have made a significant contribution to Canada or to a particular province, territory, region or community of Canada.”
Aidan Mackey
Senior Partner, Co-Founder
Aidan Mackey is a young political organizer and communications specialist currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in History and Political Science at the University of Ottawa. Born with a keen interest in politics and public affairs, Aidan has swiftly carved a niche for himself in the realm of National politics.
Aidan's career began to take shape early on as he engaged in grassroots organizing and campaign management for federal and provincial elections. His innate ability to strategize effectively and communicate persuasively quickly garnered attention, propelling him into senior positions within the political landscape in the Canadian House of Commons, as well as the Alberta Provincial Legislature.
Throughout his academic journey, Aidan has demonstrated a deep-seated passion for understanding key political messaging and campaign dynamics. His coursework has equipped him with a solid foundation in analyzing past events and their implications on contemporary governance. Aidan's academic pursuits are complemented by his practical experience in the political arena, where he has held pivotal roles in several government offices.
In addition to his academic and professional achievements, Aidan is known for his strong leadership qualities and collaborative spirit. He thrives in fast-paced environments where he can apply his sharp analytical skills to craft innovative communication strategies and policy recommendations.
Aidan currently resides in Ontario, Canada.
